Cyber Security Trainer & Founder, BritishITSociety.org

Nafizur Rahman Ahmed is a Cyber Security Trainer who recognised that many people struggle to start or progress a career in IT. Some lack confidence, some do not know where to begin, and others face barriers such as limited access to training, technology, or career guidance.

To help address these challenges, BritishITSociety.org was created as an online platform that brings together IT career pathways, training resources, employability support, and industry guidance — all in one place, and all completely free.

Our Story

BritishITSociety.org was founded with a clear purpose — to make IT careers accessible to everyone. Our primary focus is helping unemployed individuals gain the skills, confidence, and knowledge needed to secure employment in the technology sector. We also support existing IT professionals who wish to upskill, gain certifications, and advance their careers.

Alongside training and career pathways, we provide guidance on CV writing, cover letters, interview preparation, and job searching. Where possible, we also refurbish and provide donated laptops to individuals who need access to technology for learning and employment opportunities.

As we grow, we aim to develop face-to-face workshops, mentoring programmes, and community-based employability support to help even more people build successful careers in IT.
